A Quick Complaint Concerning What the Internet Has Become

Saturday Night Live featured an excellent send-up of the Direct Mail industry this weekend. Of course, I thought, “Wouldn’t it be great to find people talking about this on the Web and join in?” Well, if I don’t already have a favorite TV or SNL forum, where could I look? Searching for direct mail saturday night live on Google returns about 100 links to the video clip and zero to intelligent discussion. (Scan the comments of YouTube and sites like it to find the antithesis of intelligent discussion.)

I hate to sound like a “get off my lawn”-type old man, but the Web was better without video.
